Detector Distribution Ltd – New Shop  

Since Steve started DDL (Detector Distribution Ltd) as little more than a ‘cottage industry’, the business has gone from strength to strength - thanks to all its customers and friends.  

So well has it gone, in fact, that we have had to move into new, larger premises, enabling us to expand the range of detectors and accessories available from stock. It would now be fair to say that we offer the most comprehensive range of machines and accessories on the south coast! – your one-stop, detecting shop.  

So what makes DDL different? Well, we offer what you would expect from you local detecting store, friendly efficient service, good stocks, and excellent after sales service.  

However, we do like to feel that we offer just that bit more, and go the extra mile to give you the full detecting service. This is achieved in several ways, from helping to find the detector that suits you and the kind of detecting you want to do, at the level you want to do it, to imparting hands-on advice on how to use the machine of your choice, advice on the hobby, where to detect, and what the current laws and regulations are. More? - OK, you get more: after-hours contact through Internet forums such as Britain's premier detecting forum. Steve-B is a moderator on UKDN and is happy to give ‘after-hours' help and advice. At DDL you can also get comprehensive advice on how to get more out of your hobby through schemes such as the PAS (Portable Antiquities Scheme) - a facility that offers many services such as recording your finds, expert advice from the FLOs (Finds Liaison Officers) and much more. Steve is also a team member of the new detectorist-led initiative to promote self-recording in the UK. The UKDFD (UK Detector Finds Database) is a friendly and fully interactive recording facility that allows you to record your finds directly onto an online database, obtain expert identification information, create your personal gallery, and ensure that your information is preserved for future generations.
